What vegetables to grow during July in Melbourne

It’s the middle of winter and you’ve probably already harvested a few vegetables. But keep on planting, so you can feed yourself all winter! The following vegetables can still be planted;

  • Broad beans – 14-16 weeks
  • Cabbage (tight-headed types) – Harvest in 8-20 weeks
  • Lettuce –  Start harvesting leaves in 3 weeks
  • Mustard Greens – Harvest around 10 weeks
  • Onion – Harvest in over 20 weeks
  • Peas / Snow Peas – Harvest from 10 weeks
  • Radish – Harvest 3-6 weeks
  • Shallots – Harvest 10-12 weeks
  • Spinach – Harvest from about 6 weeks
